Jawbone's MyTalk service was compromised, resulting in many email addresses and (hashed) passwords being exposed.

People tend to use the same password across multiple websites, so even leaking hashed passwords can be a big issue - users should always make sure to use different passwords for different sites. There's no reason for your password to Jawbone MyTalk to be the same as your online banking password, for example.
