2013-02-07: LA Times Served Malware for Six Weeks
Level Two Attack
The LA Times newspaper website was discovered to be serving malware for up to six weeks. That's not good. Initial reports indicated that the Blackhole exploit kit was injected into the site via LA Times' own advertising platform (oops). The incident appears to be contained now, but with the recent hacking of NYTimes and Washington Post machines - seems that people need to be on alert for coordinated attempts to penetrate media establishments.
